The Weber County is proposing to increase its property tax revenue. As a result of the proposed increase, the tax on a $140,816 residence will be $302.68, and the Tax on a business having the same value as the average value of a residence in the taxing entity will be $550.33. Without the proposed increase the tax on a $140,816 residence would be 249.85, and the tax on a business having the same value as the average value of a residence in the taxing enity would be $454.27.
The 2005 proposed tax rate is 0.003908. Without the proposed increase the rate would be 0.003226. This would be an increase of 21%, which is $52.83 per year, ($4.40 per month) on a $140,816 residence or $96.06 per year on a business having the same value as the average value of a residence in the taxing entity. With NEW GROWTH, this property tax increase and other factors, the Weber County will increase its property tax revenue from $22,425,636 collected last year to $27,732,881 COLLECTED THIS YEAR WHICH IS A REVENUE INCREASE OF 24%
