Subject: Mayor Cliff Goff

Mayor Cliff Goff has agreed to be Assistant to the Mayor with a special assignment to work with each of you to foster better communication and trust. He was a city council member for 8 years before becoming Mayor, so he understands the role we each play. He is doing this in a volunteer capacity. We will pay him a nominal stipend and pay for direct expenses related to his assignment.

Mayor Goff hopes to meet with each of you to get to know you better. Our hope is that he can help answer questions, understand concerns you have and help us build a productive, cooperative relationship so we can do great things for this community.

We will make the announcement public on Monday but wanted to give you the information first. If you have any questions or concerns please let me know.
