Bette is Director of Legislative and Community Relations for EnergySolutions since 2001. She has been instrumental in gaining support for the industry through educational tours and presentations.She was Southern Utah Field Director for the First Congressional District for five years and Director of Public Relations/Media for the Bureau of Land Management, Arizona Strip for ten years. She concurrently taught modern dance at Dixie State College.
She was elected to the Utah State School Board, appointed a member of the Utah Humanities Council, a Trustee of Dixie State College, chairman of the Committee for Consumer Service under the Department of Public Utilities, and a member of the Community Impact Board under the Department of Economic Development. Bette has a B.S. Degree from Brigham Young University. She loves to read, play tennis and has an extensive collection of WWII movies and books.
